Lookout/Site Warden Initial

Requirements

Learners must be 18+ and bring along valid ID (Passport, Driving license or ID card) and must bring 2 Passport size picture. Also candidates must bring National Insurance and Proof of Address.

Candidates must already have a Valid Sentinel Card with the relevant Medical and D&A assessments.

About

This course is intended for candidates who wish to work on or near the line on Network Rail’s infrastructure

Who Is The Course Suitable For?

People aged 18 and over who have been designated as suitable by their Sponsor and will be required to give warning to others working in the railway environment when a train approaches (Red Zone) or when people stray outside of the specified worksite limits (Site Warden duties in a Green Zone).

Course Objectives

On successful completion of the course Candidates will be able to carry out the duties of Lookout/Site Warden in accordance with the Rule Book and other relevant railway Group Standards.

Additional Information

Candidates must be over the age of 18, be sponsored by a link-up approved railway company before undertaking this course. This is a company who have been audited and certificated to supply workers to the Railway Industry. The Sentinel co-ordinator of this sponsoring company will need to sign our course booking form to confirm their intent to sponsor you and supply their linkup site ID number

Candidates will need to have successfully completed their PTS Initial training prior to attending the course.

Candidates will also need to have completed a medical and drug & alcohol screening prior to attending the course.

Only those with a sufficient grasp of the English language to be able to give an emergency call will be eligible to attend.
